The Canal Festival is back for a BIG summer hurrah!
2024 celebrates the Canal Festival's third edition, and we are thrilled to announce our partnership with the awesome Hanwell Hootie music festival to bring you a jaw dropping lineup of incredible live music for an ultimate festival for all!
Grab some mouth watering grub at our Street Food Village, or how about an outstanding selection of independent real ale, organic wines, real ciders and premium soft drinks from our guest bar The Dodo micro pub!
On top of great music, mouthwatering food and deliscious drinks, we will have a selection of family activites for small tots up to teens.

OPENING PARADE AND PERFORMANCE FROM DUBAFRIQUE - 12PM - 1PM
Blessing us with the ultimate drumming parade, Dubafrique will be showcasing their beautifully vibrant and diverse culture through authentic costume and music, with an incredible opening performance at the Canal Festival!
HANWELL HOOTIE MAIN STAGE
West London's feel-good music festival - have curated our live music line-up on the main stage, all day! From rock, Motown, and garage to pop-covers, this line-up has something for everyone.
13.00 – 14.00 LUKE CORBETT
Kickstarting a fab line up of music on the Hootie Music Stage is Ealing native Luke Corbett – a firm West London favourite on the gigging scene, with smooth vocals and sounds heavily influenced by the likes of Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding.
14.15 - 15.15 A SQUARED
Treating us to the delicious sounds of sax and acoustic guitar and boasting an impressive repertoire of timeless classics- from jazz and soul to blues-rock and traditional pop genres. Get ready to be transported to a summer party like no other!
15.30 – 16.30 THE HANWELL UKULELE GROUP
They are a mainstay at Hanwell Hootie festival, Summer Live and Hanwell Carnival, bringing community and fun wherever they go. Be sure not to miss them at GQ Canal Festival!
16.45 – 17.45 VERO
Growing up in Ealing, the birthplace of British blues rock, Vero is an up and coming young & talented jazz musician like no other. With her unique jazz inflected vocals, and together with her three piece band, get ready for those driving bass lines and dreamy bluesy rhythms right here on the Hootie Music Stage at GQ Canal Festival.
18.00 – 19.00 THE MIGHTY MOLLY COLLECTIVE
A truly show-stopping 5-piece band bringing us festival vibes and an eclectic repertoire of jazz, Rnb, soul, Motown, oldskool, house and garage, blues and rock n roll!
BOAT TRIPS
Take a trip down the Grand Union Canal on a 1 hour cruise and enjoy some of the brilliant wildlife and sights on our stunning water way abaord the Elsdale.
Trips will take place at the following times:
12:00 - 13:15 - 14:30 - 15:45 - 17:00
Please note the following:
- Trips will be filled on a first come first servce basis
- The boat is fully accessuible with a ramp and lift for wheel chairs and physical impairments.
- Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult

CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOP
Join us from 12pm-4pm on Grenan Square for some circus fun!
Learn how to hula hoop and juggle, have fun playing with diabolos, spinning plates, flower sticks & more!!
Perfect for 4 years +, but younger ones can most certainly get stuck in too!

Join Sunny Jar in the craft den for a wonderful afternoon of sustainable arts and crafts*:
